Our competitive advantages by Aalborg University

Spirit Advisors have recently been the subject of a research project by Sif and David, two Master Students from Aalborg University’s School of Business and Economics. Based on interviews with current and former clients of Spirit Advisors coupled with a number of relevant academic theories, Sif and David were able to identify what make Sprit Advisors ideally suited to help clients successfully complete operational change and transformation projects.

The clients highlighted three distinctive strengths, that give us a competitive advantage:

1. Our community

Through our multi-national and diverse community of freelancers and staff, Spirit Advisors have access to a wide range of competences and practical experience. That means, we have been able to support international clients in very different sectors ranging from aerospace manufacturing to banking and everything in between through their transformation journeys. We are also able to apply different methodologies such as shop floor lean or organisational development and sales force development, depending on a client’s unique needs.

This is only possible by deploying consultants who specialise in the clients’ particular industries and the required methodology while speaking their native language and fully understanding their local and business culture.

2. Co-creation with customers

Projects with Spirit Advisors are always grounded in a client’s current situation. Through a thorough analysis of the as-is situation we design the improvement project best suited to our clients’ challenges and ambitions. This collaboration with at all levels of the organisation, from shop floor or office to C-level executives, continues throughout the implementation, and it is this customer-centric approach that secures the greatest possible success of any transformation.

This also means that we never offer a “one size fits all” solution to our clients. For example, Spirit Advisors have supported a major French bank across multiple of its entities. The relationship has lasted several years, which is only possible because we, while obviously utilising our learnings and experience from previous projects, always co-create our new projects with the local entity so it matches their unique situation and challenges.

3. Reliability

Consultants from Spirit Advisors are known to always deliver on the agreement, which is one of the reasons why many of our clients invite us back as other needs arise in their organisation. This trust is earned not only by our focus on achieving the agreed results, but also through our way of working.
